CCUSA History |
The Cambridgeshire Cricket Umpires
& Scorers Association (CCUSA) was formed in 1967 with
just ten members. In 2022 it comprised over 95 members
who supported East Anglian cricket at all levels from
First Class matches to Under 11 schools games, via the
ECB First Class, County Second XI, Minor County, East
Anglian Premier and Cambridgeshire Premier panels,
Cambridgeshire local clubs, all youth and colt levels,
district, University and schools matches - men and boys,
women and girls. The CCUSA were the County Association of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ECB ACO) and a member of the Cambridgeshire Cricket Board. Monthly meetings were held at the Ex-services Club, Barnwell Drive (off Barnwell Road), Cambridge at 7.30 p.m. outside the season and they held an Annual Dinner each Autumn. They had open sessions, training sessions, guest speakers and always something different each month. In 2017, CCUSA celebrated their 50th anniversary with a Celebration Dinner and produced a 50 year Anniversary Booklet. In 2022, the membership voted to dissolve the 55 year old Association and form the Cambs & Hunts ACO. |
